TM900 Bus Bar Monitoring Temperature

TM900 Bus Bar Monitoring Temperature

The TM900 Busbar Temperature Monitoring System is used to keep a continuous check on the temperature of busbars installed in electrical panels like LT, HT panels

Busbars carry heavy current, so it’s normal for them to generate some heat. But if there’s any problem like a loose connection, overloading the temperature can rise quickly. If this goes sparking, heating which effect the system

This is where the TM900 system helps. It keeps monitoring the temperature in real time and alerts

In simple terms, the TM900 system helps in:

  • Detecting overheating at an early stage
  • Avoiding sudden shutdowns.
  • Improving safety of the electrical system
  • Ensuring smooth and better operation

About Installation

Install the sensors on the busbar joints or termination points, because these are the places where heating usually happens the most.

Make sure the sensor is properly touching the busbar surface. A loose connection can give wrong temperature readings, so it should be fixed tightly.

Connect the sensor in proper band sequence, if not installed in sequence it is not working.

Do not install the sensor on painted or insulated surfaces, as this can affect accuracy. Always clean the surface first to remove dust, grease, or any carbon so the sensor can make good contact.

Also, keep distance between sensors and display within 7-9 meters so their readings don’t overlap.

After installing, fix them properly so they don’t move due to vibration or any external disturbance.
