Article 4.8.2A : iACCL - Queries
Q,1) Regarding iACCL meter, needs clarification , From EB R,Y,B & N given to input of our ACCL, Suddenly one of the phase (R,Y,B ) get failure in supply ,What will be the our ACCL action, either Trip the system or not. effect to next stage or not. If DG side fails also.
Ans : If the Y and B fails in EB there is no action. In the case of DG it displays V.Err and the output will be cut off. Irrespective of EB or DG, If R phase or Neutral any one fails, the device will go OFF and the output will be disconnected.
2) Can we give the automatic generator start up through potential free contact So, they not required AMF Panel. (Ref. find the attachment of Havells Catalog).
Not a useful feature. Only one ACCL having this feature is useful out of several 100s of ACCL connected to DG. Better would be to use One meter with programmable under voltage feature or use under voltage relay.
3) If the ACCL fail then can we get old KWh & Running KWh ?
We can get through communication port. Otherwise from Service center once the meter comes.
4) If ACCL display not working then Is it possible to remove display only ? Or Have to change ACCL unit ?
Can change the display only. Chance of display going bad is rear.
5). What is the minimum % of load that the inbuilt CTs will sense for the DG side. They will be giving 100% DG backup but are concerned that in case the load is below 5%-15% of the rated current, will the energy consumption reflect in the DG Energy Reading.
Will sense from 2% to 120% and accuracy maintained from 10-120%. At 2% to 9% of load, the accuracy will be below 2%FS.
6. What percentage of rated current will the ACCL be able to withstand inrush current. E.g. If they are using 40A ACCL and their load is almost equal to the rated current and EB supply fails and power is transferred to DG. As soon as power is available from ACCL, some equipment like Air conditioners, Deep Freezers or other capacities loads may cause high inrush current (about 150% of rated current) momentarily. Will our ACCL be able to withstand this inrush current ?
Yes. It will withstand 150% of rated current for 5 seconds. Elmeasure always use same rating of contactors for both EN and DG unlike competition to save money.
7). What is the power dissipation or consumption of the ACCL on No Load condition. We need to specify this figure.
ACCL power consumption is 6VA max. On Load, additional burden of contactor to be added which is 3-5W
8)They are also concerned about the Contactor coils. Will the contactor coils maintain uniform resistance? What can be done if Contactor coils go bad ?
Contactor coils goes bad mainly due to Over voltage and chattering. Both are avoided as we measure the Input of DG in terms of over and under voltage and switched ON only for healthy conditions. Contactor is also protected against over current including calculated Neutral current which no one provides.
9) We are using the AC1 Contactor in 40 Amp, 63Amp and 80 Amp?
Yes. But we are the only one who plots AC3 graph inside the meter and turned off based on PF also. Eg: IF the contactor is rated for 1 duty 40A and 3 duty 25A and if the value set is 20A, the device will trip at 20A. But if the setting is done 40A and the load is operating at 0.5lg, it will trip at 25A and any PF in between 0.5 and 1.0, the tripping will be as per the interpolation.
10) They will communicating of our ACCL with their Existing BEMS.
OK. slight customisation required
11) Arthimatic sum and average is same:
Model: iACCL M300
PO no
1617002742 dt 12-Dec-16
Contactor used: 40A contactor
Overcurrent tripping is based on 2 parameters, the average current is more that set limit or if any one of the phase exceeds the contactor rating
Maximum cutoff per phase is 40A
Arthimetic sum cuttoff is nothing but Average of three phase
Ex: If Arithmatic sum total is 90A then average is 30A
If Arithmatic sum total is 33A then average is 11A
Average DG and EB max current as be set in the program. Kindly refer programming guide.
It will be difficult to accept orders in future unless value is greater than 50 lac.
63 and 80A will be LNT. REST ONLY WITH C&S.
12) FOR INPUT EB SIDE:-
1. 3 phase cuttof required .( 3 Phase sensing )
OK
2. 40 square mm input terminals.
35mm2
3. contractor l&t or Siemens make ONLY, C&S are failing.
63 & 80A is LNT. 40A and below C&S
4. 40 and 63 amps rating ac1 duty contractor.
OK
14) FOR DG SIDE :-
1. 3 phase and single phase at dg. side.( it should be programmable)
One can wire and program accordingly
2. Full rating 40 or 63 amps ac1 duty contractor.
OK
15. Contractor makes l&t or Siemens.
63 & 80A is LNT. 40A and below C&S
16) OUTPUT SIDE :
-
1. If DG SINGLE PHASE, all load terminals enable to get output or
short ckt ( load RYBN)
One have to wire accordingly
2. If DG set program value 40 amps then output current is sum ( Rphase current + Y phase current + B phase current)
NO. You have to program as 13.3A which will allow all three phase 13A
3. Can we give Auxillary Contactor (2 pole) with lower rating upto 25A for DG in our iACCL,M300.
Possible to use 2 pole up to 40A.
4. Is it possible to give an option for permanant trip enable/disable.
if we program 9 times with high delay (i do not remember off hand ), it may take close to an hour before permanent trip. It is very rare case occasion that will happen. Our competitor gives 4 time with fixed time and they cannot program time.
If they use through communication, they can reset through mobile app in future.
