Article 4.1.1G : EN8400 LM Queries - 2
1. Suggest some standard (ranges and) companies/product which make Class1 CTs in India which extend the input current range to 20 or 30A?
Comment: You can use any make CT's. In the market, Kalpa CT's have a good name. Based on your I/P load and cable size you can consider the CT rating For Ex: 30A/5A.
2. Is the actual current shunt voltage 1V(burden R 1Ohm?) if it is set in 1A (in the 1A/5A options)? Is there a CT already inside which takes up the value to 5A?
Comment: There is an inbuilt 5A CT's inside the meter so that you can connect meter directly if the load is under 5A.
3. In case I use an external CT, would it be better to set it in 1A range(to avoid 2 CTs) and enter the multiplying factor (say 30 for 30A CT)?
Comment: Use 5A o/p CT's for better accuracy. For Ex: 30A/5A CT's. No need to enter any multiplying factor. We have provision to enter the CT rating in our meter. So that it will display direct readings.

Article 4.1.1.24S: PF value not show accurate in EN meters compare to reference meter.
Solution: PF value depends on current and voltage phase angle. First, check the voltage Phase angle in the meter it should be 0, 120, 240. and verify the CT and PT connection in meter accordingly RYB. An issue on the site: PF value does not change ...
Article 4.1.1.3 : Why in EN meter only one phase PF & KW value comes very less and KWh consumption is less with reference main meter?
Please find the below images of the EN meter display to understand the situation of a meter. As shown in the above images we can see in the Y phase PF & KW is very less compare to the other two-phase. Here KW depends on the PF value because of PF ...
