Article 2.0.3A: What is AMF controller in Power panel.
AMF and ATS panels monitor the incoming AC mains supply, activate the standby generator when mains power fails, and make an automatic electrical transfer of the building's load from the mains to the generating set.
The panel AMF controller works in a control panel together with ancillary equipment: battery charger, electronic circuit boards, power relays and so on. The AMF controller is conveniently tasked with driving the power contactors. The size of the contactors define the required power rating of the panel.
